Machico’s 16th Century Medieval Market is visual feast of streets decorated with colourful flags and tents and locals dressed in medieval costumes.See dramatic historical re-enactments, knights’ tournaments, open-air theatre, trials of heretics and offenders, circus arts, street performers, minstrels and acrobats, dance & music performances.
