The Onion Festival is the best known cultural event in Caniço. The main attractions of the weekend festival are a parade, several musical attractions and the opportunity to enjoy traditional delicacies.Tractors and floats decorated with onions can be seen during the procession. Even some local houses are decorated with onions! In the evening, you can enjoy traditional music, craft stalls and a selection of food and wine. This festival is a popular event for all ages.
