SUMMARY:Madeira Wine Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Madeira Sports Club promotes the historic Madeira Wine Rally – the largest motor racing event in the Region and a sporting event that attracts many who are curious and passionate about motorsports\, gathering along the regional roads to watch the cars pass by and see the skill of the drivers.The rally begins on Thursday at 19:30 with the spectacular Super Special Stage at Avenida do Mar. Over the next days\, the cars will face stages in the areas of Santo da Serra\, Poiso\, Ribeiro Frio\, Highlands of Funchal\, Machico and Santana. During the last day\, the cars race to the North and West areas of the island with stages passing through Câmara de Lobos\, Ponta do Sol\, Ponta do Pargo and Encumeada. The event finishes on Saturday with the podium arrival and subsequent prize giving\, at around 18:00.\nAs many stretches of road are closed to traffic all over the island\, we advise you to visit the official website for further information. DESCRIPTION:Machico Classic Car Fest is an exhibition that takes place on Sunday\, August 31st\, in Machico and until last year was called ‘Drive it Day’. This is an initiative organized by the groups ‘Domingo Clássico Madeira’ and ‘Amigos Fiat Madeira’ and has the support of the Machico Parish Council. \nThis is the 8th year these entities have organized the event. The exhibition will run from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm\, with vehicle acceptance between 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Vehicles up to 1993 will be accepted. The organization reserves the right to refuse vehicles that\, in its opinion\, are not suitable for the event. The trophy presentation is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
